Tips for Visiting Spanish Caves

Book in Advance

Popular caves like Cuevas del Drach and Nerja can sell out during peak season (June-September). Reserve your tickets online at least a week ahead, especially for weekend visits.

Temperature Awareness

Spanish caves maintain a constant temperature of 12-17 degrees Celsius year-round, regardless of outside weather. Bring a light jacket even during summer months.

Wear Proper Footwear

Cave floors can be slippery and uneven. Wear sturdy, non-slip shoes with good grip. High heels and open-toed sandals are not recommended and may be prohibited.

Photography Rules

Flash photography is typically prohibited inside caves to protect delicate formations and prehistoric art. Some caves allow non-flash photography, so check before your visit.
